YBLN

Candidates will be recognized as an ‘Associate Member’ subject to approval by the YBLN internal audit and at least one participation in the YBLF Korean Business Convention (Hansang Convention) that is being held every fall. During the following two years the Associate Member is required to participate twice in one of the following meetings- Regular forums, City forums, Continent meetings and similarto become a ‘Member’. A Member holds the right to vote and to participate in major decision-making processes.

All Members are finally drafted at end of the year, and any Memberneeds to pay its annual Member’s dues. A Member maintains the Member eligibility by attending the one forum at least once every three years. All Members must agree with the mission, vision, core values of YBLN, must comply faithfully with the YBLN rules and principles and refrain from religious and political statements and activities.

- YBLF

Abbreviation for Young Business Leaders Forum that is being held annually during the Korean Business Convention every fall, that is organized by Overseas Koreans Foundation under the auspices of South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

- Regular Forum

A forum that’s being held autonomously by YBLN during the annual Korean Business Convention.

- City Forum

The official annual forum that is organized by the Members outside of Korea.

- Continental Meeting

An official event that is held in the continent such as North America, South America, Europe, ASEAN, China, Japan, and Korea Region

Eligibility

Candidate must be of Korean ethnicity (irrespective of the nationality).

Candidate must have an international business.

The size of the enterprise must be applicable to one of the conditions below (exceptions may apply to certain regions or countries):

a. Must be one of the following- founder/co-founder/owner/majority share holder/profit sharing partner (in case of a service oriented companies such as legal, accounting, consulting, medical firm)-of a company of annual gross sales of 1 million USD or more.

b. Officer (=senior level executive) of a company with annual gross sales exceeding 200 million USD.

   a. YBLN member

   b. Korean national agencies (Korean Embassy, Consulate Offices, KOTRA and OKF, etc.)

2. Documents to be submitted

   Application

   with copy of passport and biography Declaration of Agreement (YBLN mission, vision, core values) Company Profile and business registration, license, certification Financial statements and other relevant evidential documents of recent years News articles, magazines and media articles of the candidate(if applicable)

3. The reputation survey of local members

   A candidate should be
   -a trusted and well-experienced entrepreneur within the industry and/or in the country.
   -a business leader who has already built a successful career.
   -a person of generous and honest character and has good interpersonal relations.
   

4. After participating in the City Forum or YBLF Hansang Convention,
   
   the consent of a local presence and the support of at least a five members is required.

   If any opposition is stated the candidate will be reevaluated by the Membership Committee.
   The numbers of members may be subject to a regional limitation.
